MOBS : First of all... thank you for letting us interview you :)MOBS : Tell us a bit about yourself.RED : I'm a mum of lil 'creative minded' son, staying in central region of Malaysia. Very very 'online sophaholic' person! ..i'm the owner of kiddieswear e-shoppe called 'Redroses2u.Net' at http://redroses2u.net ...My product range is baby cloth diaper, babywear (0-24M), kids apparels for boys and girls(1-14Y), ladies apparels, ladies accessories, maternity wear, nutrition and wellness products to kitchenware & household.
MOBS : RedRoses2U? Can you tell us a bit on how you came up with the name? Why Redroses2u?
RED : It's from my real name actually, my collegues call me rose .. redroses2u means give u something special lor such as red roses !
MOBS : How long have you been selling online?RED : Just started recently in June 2009 ..only 3++ months time
MOBS: Why did you decide to sell online? Why did you choose to sell what you sell?RED : Selling online giving me something that far beyond imagination, people could access to my e-shoppe globally, i don't need to rent a store ...can save that cost to purchase more nice & sweet products for my e-shoppe.
MOBS : Tell us a bit about what you sell. Why you sell them? RED : I'm selling kiddieswear & kids accessories such as socks & shoes mostly. Besides that, also available ladies apparels & accessories, kitchenware & household products for daily basis usage, not forgotten the helath products that are essentials for the body.
MOBS : What do you LIKE most about selling online? RED : No need to meet up customer face to face but doesn't means that the services is no good at all, the products quality & the fastest delivery is still the main priority. My concept is to make the customer come & shoppe again to my e-shoppe. So, i try as hardest as I could the give the best services in town such as delivered it on time and maintain the product quality to the AAA++ !!
MOBS : What do you DISLIKE about selling online? RED : 1 - A bit hard to attract customer as they think the online business is tend to cheat their money and something that are not 'real' enough
2 - They prefer to look at the stuff close to their eyes and make their selection, don;t wanna to look at the measurement
3 - Make an order but dislike/refuse to pay !! Who's to blame because 'not real' rite ?
MOBS : Any funny/silly/interesting/crazy experience you had as a seller?RED : Due to the affordable price i'm offering they always think i;m the wholesaler ..no ! I'm not because I don;t have a large quantity of stocks/products to offer. I'm selling the affordable price so that everyone could share & enjoy it.
MOBS : Do you think ONLINE SELLING in Malaysia is a GOOD THING or NOT? Is it safe? WHY?RED : Yeah it's boombing rite now ans it's a good sign due to the a lot of criteria perhaps, may be the main reason is because of the price and the no long queue. For example Raya festive time is during the H1N1 spread out, they were afraid to take the children out to the open space so they shoppe online ! .. Another reason why is save the their limited time, for the busy mom they prefer doing it online instead of shopping for hours just to pick-up some clothes !
MOBS : Any future plans of expansion? From part time to full time or to a real store :)Yeah would love too ! .. My future plan is to have my real store, be the wholesaler besides doing retailing ..only a matter of time I guess, need to save extra money in order to achieve that ! .. I wan't to work for myself, to make my self rich not others hheheheh
MOBS : You are an advertiser with MOBS. Has MOBS helped in bringing in more potential customers? Would you continue advertising with MOBS in the long run? Any suggestions on how to improve MOBS? RED : Yeah much helping here, in fact that from MOBS i've got a lot of multi races customer because MOBS reader mostly chinese & indian I guess. From here they know me ..Some of them are my regular customer now
MOBS : Any words of wisdom you'd like to share to other aspiring or already successful online seller? What about to buyer?
